Fireworks over Walnut

Here's some footage I captured of the opening moments of a spectacular fireworks show at Suzanne Park in Walnut adjacent to Walnut High School. God bless America!!

1 - I like how fireworks LOOK, so this is a nice video, but I hate how they SOUND so it's also a scary video. This year was not as scary for me as I took a Xanax, collected the cat from the backyard, and lay down to bed with him with my MP3 player on full volume so I could not hear the fireworks being blasted outside. All I could hear was the soothing sounds of Stereolab. At one point when I was out there trying to bring Mr. Julie in, I dropped my MP3 player and was subjected to some quick-fire blasts but it didn't faze me too much. I just grabbed the apparatus, the cat, and got the heck inside. But it sure smelled strongly of gunpowder out there! The next morning all the city was covered in smoke. (Comment this)

2 - Yes, despite the fireworks being outlawed, I saw more people throwing them and smelled more smoke this year than before, I think the neihbors were especially rowdy this year. (Comment this)

3 - Cool fireworks. I love local fireworks. We went to a neighborhood one this year. But I think the best is probably the one in New York. My sister just came back from there and she said they had cube shaped fireworks. Now that would be awesome. (Comment this)
